WEBCASTING OR LIVE STREAMING?
There isn't too much of a difference between webcasting services and live streaming services other than the fact that webcasting is a more broad term for live video over the internet. Webcasting can be anything from a Zoom meeting to
four manned cameras live streaming a corporate event with a moderator and four presenters onstage. But when you combine or integrate multiple live webcasting technologies for the same event you get a Hybrid live webcast.
WHAT IS WEBCASTING SERVICES?
An example of webcasting services is a corporate event in Los Angeles with one moderator and three presenters but one of the presenters will address the audience remotely through ZOOM on a large projector screen with the ability to answer questions
from the audience. Live streaming is more of a one specific event that is live streamed to viewers over the internet using live streaming protocols RTMP, WebRTC, HLS or any live streaming social media platform like YouTube,
Facebook, etc... But the viewers ability to send back their own video feeds or interact with the live event is usually limited to a chatbox or one-on-one live video. The general idea is to make the online viewers who couldn't attend feel like they're actually
there at the event. If this is the type of live event you're planning on doing then feel free to call us or email us for a custom webcasting quote.
